Security Breach Workshops

This workshop will provide participants with an overview of the Privacy Commissioner's breach guidance material.  Participants will also work through several breach scenarios, determining how to apply the guidance material to each.

It will be particularly useful for Risk Advisers and Privacy Officers of organisations who collect and retain personal information.


Topics covered include:

  • Overview of the guidance material
  • Interface with the Privacy Act
  • Case studies of breaches of personal information
  • Development of notification letters
